Now, they didn't have an easy time doing it. They had a few bumps along the road, but they had each other, they had their voices, and they were heard. I'm not talking about heard as in music, I'm saying that their voices, their selves, they were heard.
Lemonade Mouth showed that you don't have to hide away behind a wall, putting a defense so thick against the world that even you believe you don't have a voice. You do have a voice. You deserve to be heard! Lemonade Mouth is truly inspiring.
I used to hide behind a wall. I used to be a 'nobody'. I thought that there were separation lines between the 'cool and popular' and the 'nobodies'. But there really isn't. I moved on with my life and found people who accepted me for who I am and gave me a chance to let my voice be heard.
"What if I can't find those people?" You might ask. Well, I say, take a chance. You might think its crazy, but if you be your true self and show that you DO have a voice, you'll be so much happier than hiding behind a wall. Not just happier. Happier, healthier, and so much more confident.
If you can't find the people who will give you the chance to be heard immediately, then be heard where you are. I'm definitely not saying that you should ever give up on finding real friends who will accept you for who you are and will always let you be heard. Keep looking! You'll find them. It's never too late. But I am saying, that in the mean time, show your true self to the world! Be heard! Be proud of your voice and who you are! I want you to wake up Monday morning, go to school, and show your true self. You don't have to hide behind a wall. Let the whole world know that you have a voice that deserves to be heard. Why? Because you do.
